Making smaller droplets with larger microchannels

The Microfluidics and Nanofluidics journal has just published our latest results: Study of the geometry in a 3D flow-focusing device

The trick of making small droplets of ~ 1µm with small channels trying to avoid clogging is very important for many applications.

This work represents an important breakthrough in the practical use of flow-focusing devices delivering a ratio of constriction to droplet size of 50 times with an improved control and reliability of the device.
