A new audience, new challenges!
This week I had the chance to give a talk at the event organized by Health Valley: https://lnkd.in/ebEiCvB. I shared my vision on how the Operation Room of the Future can benefit from our needle-free injection technology.
Faculty Colloquium at Delft
Last February 19th I was invited to give a lecture entitled Microfluidics and micro-fabrication tricks to improve energy efficiencies of ultrasonic cavitation and electrolysis. A beautiful new building, and a great audience.
Flow and bubble formation from pits
The most recent “pit” story, as a collaboration’s result, together with colleagues at TU Darmstad: Bubble nucleation from micro-crevices in a shear flow.
Great news! InkBeams chosen as the Best Tech-Idea by popular vote and Jury from Kijk magazine
Several news-websites replicated the great news, and the printed version of Kijk includes a two-page special report on our idea! From the Kijk magazine website. From the U-today website. From the University of Twente website. A video with an interview (in Dutch) can be seen here:
One more contribution to needle-free injection methods
Just last week our most recent work on needle-free injection methods was published with title: Toward jet injection by continuous-wave laser cavitation. The article can be downloaded for three months from this site.
A week with good news
Last week there were two important news: a) PhD student Peter van der Linde gave his first Oral presentation at the most important meeting in his topic during the Solar Water splitting session at the 232nd Electrochemical Society Meeting in USA. The abstract of his talk can be found here: Evolution of Electrolytic Hydrogen Bubbles on Microstructured […]
Two lectures, one event in Barcelona
This week I will stay in Barcelona to give two lectures during the 10th World Congress of Chemical Engineering. On Monday, I will talk about Teaching Entrepreneurship and Process Intensification Principles in Twente, while on Thursday, the topic will be Synergising effects achieved with small scales and acoustic energy.
Best tech-idea of 2017 (popular vote)!
The Dutch magazine KIJK, has nominated my needle-free idea InkBeams, and the popular vote has positioned it at the top of all the selected ideas. Now a group of experts will decide what will happen … Looking forward to it!
Visiting Warsaw to kickstart collaboration
This week I will be visiting my colleague, Prof. Colmenares’s group Catalysis for Sustainable Energy Production and Environmental Protection, from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences. I will be giving two lectures supported by the National Science Centre (NCN) in Poland within research project Sonata Bis Nr. 2015/18/E/ST5/00306. This project is aimed […]
