Our latest results from the BuBble Gun project are now published by Physics of Fluids AIP Publishing.
Jelle Schoppink and Nicolas Rivera studied a mechanism of optical energy absorption in microfluidic channels using a sputtered thin gold layer, and compared it with the older method we have used based on dyes.
Our findings can inform the design and operation of microfluidic devices used in phase transition experiments and other cavitation phenomena, such as jet injectors or liquid dispensing for bio-engineering.
